Mirpurkhas PS-67 by-election on November 11
KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the schedule for by-election in PS-67, Mirpurkhas. The seat had fallen vacant on the death of a PPP MPA, Jameel Bhurgari. Polling in the said constituency will be held on November 11 for which nomination papers will be accepted on October 13

KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the schedule for by-election in PS-67, Mirpurkhas.
The seat had fallen vacant on the death of a PPP MPA, Jameel Bhurgari. Polling in the said constituency will be held on November 11 for which nomination papers will be accepted on October 13 and 14 following a public notice to be issued by the returning officer on October 8.
Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on October 16 and 17, said the ECP.
The last date for filing appeals against the decision of the returning officer was fixed October 19, and the last date for deciding on appeals by the tribunal is October 21.
Nomination papers can be withdrawn by October 23, and the revised list would be published on October 24.
The late Jameel Bhurgari had defeated Mir Janullah Khan Talpur of the PML-F in May 2013 general elections.
