IGP exchanges Eid greetings with cops deployed at sensitive posts in Lower Dir

PESHAWAR: In order to wish Eid greetings to the police personnel deployed at the sensitive police posts, the IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani on Monday visited Lower Dir and inspected the police posts adjoining the Afghanistan border and Bajaur Agency.

On the occassion, the IGP appreciated the valour, courage and professional commitment of the police personnel and distributed Eid gifts and cash rewards amongst them. The IGP also visited the advance police check posts of Maskini Darra and Kotki situated at the border of Afghanistan and Bajaur Agency.

The IGP met with the police personnel present on duty and praised their bravery, dedication and commitment. He boosted their morale and encouraged them to keep their spirit high.

A large number of police personnel have embraced martyrdom on these posts while serving the nation and defending the state.

Addressing the police jawans, the IGP informed that they were sacrificing their happiness in line of duty on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul Azha and for this they will be rewarded by Allah Almighty with encouragement and love from the people.

The IGP repeatedly commanded the gallant acts and extreme profession commitment of the police jawans performing duties in the volatile mountains regains. The IGP also visited the Maskini Bazar in Lower Dir and interacted with locals to review the law and order situation in the area and the police performance in this connection.

The locals gifted the traditional shawl and cap to the IGP on this occasion.

The locals paid tribute to the unprecedented sacrifices rendered by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and praised the dynamic leadership of the IGP.

The IGP reciprocated by assuring the citizens that the KP Police was also public friendly and will play its due role for maintaining peace.
