Two killed in Haripur clash

HARIPUR: At least two persons were killed and another sustained injuries when rival groups exchanged fire over the ownership of land in Suraj Gali village in the limits of Khanpur Police Station, police officials said on Saturday.
They said that there had been a dispute between two groups over the ownership of a leased land in the hilly area of Suraj Gali. The two groups, the sources said, exchanged fire on Friday night in which Amanullah, resident of Mardan, and Dilawar Khan, resident of Afghan Camp No 13, Haripur, were killed.
One Awal Daraz sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to Ayub Teaching Hospital in critical condition. The police have registered a case and arrested more than 12 people from both parties.
