LAHORE: Hot and humid weather continued to prevail in the city here Tuesday while Met office predicted rain/dust-thunderstorm at isolated places on Wednesday (today).The Met officials said weak seasonal low lies over Northeast Balochistan while a weak westerly wave is present over northern parts of the country and adjoining areas and likely to move over Kashmir during next 24 hours.
Met office predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country while rain/dust-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Fata, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Rain was recorded at several cities, including Abbottabad (35mm), Malamjabba (28mm), Saidu Sharif (18mm), Balakot (12mm), Parachinar (10mm), Murree (28mm), Islamabad (06mm), Mangla (05mm), Jhelum (01mm), Kotli (08mm), Muzaffarabad (04mm), Rawalakot and Garhi Dupatta (01mm), Khuzdar (03mm), Gilgit (02mm), Bunji and Bagrote (01mm). Tuesday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Nokkundi where mercury was 42°C while in Lahore it was 33°C and humidity was 64 percent.
