Farooq Sattar still in contact with MQM chief: Wassan
Says Sattar must stop deceiving people
SUKKUR: Sindh Minister for Industries Manzoor Hussain Wasan on Wednesday, while talking to the media in Khairpur, said that Farooq Sattar was still associated with MQM chief in London. He said that the MQM Pakistan was still linked with its chief in London. He said that Farooq Sattar was still in contact with his party chief and he must stop deceiving people. Manzoor Wasan said that the Sindh government had cooperated with the MQM and provided them the opportunity to elect the mayor for Karachi despite the candidate being behind the bars, however, he said that he was not allowed to cast vote for Chairman District Council when he was in prison during the Zia regime.
The minister said that the Sindh government was determined to devolve power and allocate funds to the elected chairman and mayors according to the law, while the Federal government has ignored the Sindh province and was reluctant to release the due share of the NFC and gas surcharge.
