Rescue 1122 service release monthly activity report
PESHAWAR: The Rescue 1122 service provided first aid and shifted 1,200 persons injured in various road accidents and other incidents in the provincial capital to hospitals.
Releasing the one month activity report of the service, Rescue 1122 spokesperson, Bilal Ahmad Faizi, said on Wednesday that these persons had sustained injuries in 1,307 different incidents.
He said that 280 persons injured in road accidents had been provided first aid on the spot.
The spokesman said that 350 road accidents, 35 fire broke out incidents and 896 medical emergencies had been occurred during the month of August while 29 more person were injured in crime cases in Peshawar district.
He said that the Rescue received 120,000 phone calls during the month of August, in which some 75,000 were unnecessary.
The official said that the rescue response to any incident was prompt and helped saved many lives and other valuables of the people. He said despite traffic jam the average time for the rescuers to reach the site of an incident and provide assistance to people was five minutes and seven seconds.
