RMS gets status of IB World School

Roots Millennium Schools (RMS) announces achievement of the status of IB World School for International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) for its state of the art One World Campus (OWC) in Sector E-11/4, says a press release.

This is the first institution in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to have achieved this level of excellence and fourth overall in Pakistan.

IB MYP is a broad and balanced five years educational framework for the early adolescent students ageing 11 to 16 i.e. from grades 6 till 10. The MYP curriculum ranges over 8 subjects involving the evolved methods of education that requires at least 50 hours of teaching time for each subject group, in each year of the program. In the final two years of the program, carefully-defined subject group flexibility allows students to meet local requirements and the personal learning goals. It encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. It is inclusive by design and students of all interests and academic abilities can benefit from their participation.

Roots Millennium Schools achieved the candidacy status for MYP in June 2014 and started implementing the MYP curriculum in September 2014. Now Roots Millennium Schools’ One World Campus have successfully completed two years of implementation and offering 4 years of the program in academic year 2016-17 and expecting first batch to be graduated in 2018. Following the IB continuum RMS Wahid Campus F-10/2 is a candidate school for International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) and will start teaching in September 2016 while the Flagship Millennium Campus I–9/3 is a candidate school for International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP).
