PPP to hold important meeting in Dubai

KARACHI: A top-level important meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party ruling in Sindh is likely to be convened on 14 and 15th September in Dubai, the UAE.
The meeting in Dubai is likely to be chaired by former president and Co-chairman of PPP Asif Ali Zardari and the party’s chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The party’s reorganisation in different provinces is most likely to be considered in the meeting.
Other matters likely to be considered in the meeting include the upcoming local govt elections in Sindh and Punjab provinces, allegations and cases of corruption against the PPP leaders and ministers, the current political situation, and relations of the party with the ruling party in the Centre i.e. Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).
A new strategy of the party on the current political and electoral situation of the country would be adopted in the meeting. All presidents of provincial chapters of the party and the central leadership of the PPP is likely to attend the meeting in Dubai.
The party’s Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, will brief the meeting in Dubai on the outcomes and decisions taken at the PPP’s meetings recently held in Lahore and Islamabad, which he had chaired. The administrative and governance affairs of PPP’s govt in Sindh would be given consideration in detail at the upcoming Dubai meeting. The reorganisation of the PPP would be considered in the meeting in view of the next general elections after over two years.
