PFUJ polls on August 27
PESHAWAR: The Election Committee of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has reminded that the date of withdrawal of nomination papers by the candidates for contesting the polls is August 25, 2016.
In a statement, the Election Committee said according to the election schedule it must receive the withdrawal of nomination papers from the candidates until 24 hours of the Biennial Delegates Meeting (BDM) that will begin in the evening of August 26. Therefore, it said the withdrawals should reach the Election Committee by August 25.
The Election Committee noted that the final list of candidates would be displayed at the venues of the BDM on August 26. It added that the polling for the PFUJ elections would be held at the Peshawar Press Club on August 27 from 0012 to 2100 hours.
Rahimullah Yusufzai is the chairman of the PFUJ Election Committee while Shahid ur Rahman, Abdullah Jan, Farzana Ali and Kashifuddin Syed are its members. The Election Committee would announce the rules for the polling in due course of time.
