Goalkeepers’ training camp commences in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) Goalkeepers’ Training Camp commenced on Monday (today) here at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, formerly known as Hockey Club of Pakistan.

With this camp, PHF aims to prepare goalkeepers to face contemporary fast-paced hockey, in which the number of attempts on goal has increased sharply.

Pakistan’s former captain and goalkeeper Ahmad Alam is running the camp.

Those attending the camp are Adil Rao (Gojra), Waseemullah Khan (Bannu), Mohammad Aimal Khan (Bannu), Awais Rasheed (Lahore), Kamran Ali (Buner), Waqar (Lahore), Mohammad Shabihuddin (Karachi) and Akmal Hussain (Sheikhupura). The camp will end on August 11.
