CPSP role sought in promotion of education
LAHORE
On the invitation of Gilgit Baltistan Doctors’ Forum, a delegation of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) headed by President Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry along with Senior Vice President Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Major. Gen. Salman Ali, Prof. Shoaib Shafi and Prof. Amir Zaman Khan visited Gilgit Baltistan and attended a health conference at Skardu.
According to a press release issued here on Saturday, Haji Akbar Tabaan, Senior Provincial Minister, Haji Fida Muhammad, Speaker Provincial Assembly, and Saeed Ullah Niazi, Secretary Health, were present. Haji Akbar Tabaan, Senior Minister Health, appreciated the services of College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and hoped that it would play its role in the promotion of higher medical education in Gilgit Baltistan and affiliation of CMH and district hospital would pave the way for the promotion of higher medical education. The participation of doctors of the region in the programme of England and Ireland will help in providing best specialists to the common people. The visit of the CPSP delegation has a great importance for the people of Gilgit Baltistan, he added. CPSP President Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry highlighted the challenges and assured the patronage of the organisation. He also appreciated the interest taken by Haji Akbar Tabaan.
