A card of seven for today’s Lahore races
LAHORE: The 11th Day Winter Meeting 2025–26 at the Lahore Race Club promises an exciting card of seven races, with particular attention on the fifth and sixth races, both expected to test the stamina and resilience of horses and jockeys alike.
While most contests are over 1100 metres in various divisions of Class VII, the feature races extend to longer distances, adding intrigue to the day’s proceedings.
The opening race, a Class VII Division VI & VII (Maiden) event over 1100 metres, has Mr Handsome installed as book favourite, with Stalker tipped for place and Pakiza as the fluke. The field includes Construct Craft, Azan Prince, True Love, Sher Dil, Bodrum, Majesty, and Flokey.
The second race, also over 1100 metres, features Thunder Man as favourite, with American Star for place and Naveed-e-Sehar as fluke. Eleven runners line up, including Tango To Fire, Mafnood JR, Khizer Choice, Pride of Chandrai, Jalal Prince, Barrister, Leo Star, and Gifts of Gold 5.
In the third race, a Class VII Division V & VI contest, Zindagi heads the betting, with Lucky Macs for place and Rayaan Prince as fluke. The seven-horse field also includes Mr. Asia, Haseeb Thrill, Zaman Sahib, and Shahin Shah.
The fourth race, a Class VII Division II & III event, has Nostalgic as favourite, with Sher Khan for place and Sarkar Raj as fluke. Eleven horses are entered, including Sultan Prince, Mister Sardar, Seven Star, Shareeka, Princess Barcelona, Dubawi’s Angel, Vartika, and Luckvir.
The day’s first feature, the fifth race (Class VI) over 1400 metres, sees Prodigal Rain as the hot favourite, with Redrock for place and Ceaser as fluke. The five-horse field also includes Murad and Brooklyn, making this a key stamina test.
The sixth race, another highlight, is a Class VII Division I contest over 1300 metres. Mogambo is strongly fancied, with Kit Kat for place and Haider Prince as fluke. The six-horse lineup features Desert Crown, Flash, and Feel My Love.
The final race of the day, a Class VII Division III & IV event over 1100 metres, has Awan Di Shan as favourite, with Haseeb Thunder for place and Little Master as fluke. The field includes Imperius, Black Magic and Hero.
