LAHORE: The Lahore Race Club witnessed a thrilling day of competition as the Term Cup for 3-year-olds unfolded with surprises, standout performances, and a voided sixth race that added to the drama.

The highlight of the day was the commanding victory by One Man Band, who lived up to his billing as the favourite and dominated the 4th Term Cup race, pulling away in the closing stages to seal a memorable win.

In the 1st race, Annie Power, installed as the favourite, delivered a confident run to clinch top spot. However, the podium was shaken by unexpected finishes from My Handsome and Stalker, both of whom defied odds to claim second and third respectively.

The 2nd race saw Awan Di Shan live up to pre-race predictions, surging clear to take victory. Lucky Macs surprised many with a strong second-place finish, while Rayaan Prince, a fluke entry, rounded off the top three in a commendable performance.

Race three brought the day’s biggest upset as Sarkar Raj, an unknown contender, led from start to finish to claim victory. Little Master, as expected, secured second place, while favourite Monsoon Mischief had to settle for third, unable to find rhythm on the track.

The marquee event—the 4th Term Cup for 3-Year-Olds—was a showcase of class and control from One Man Band, who ran a flawless race and finished well ahead of the pack. Sardar Bey, a fluke entry, managed to grab second, while Distant Music surprised with a late surge to take third.

In the 5th race, Prince Isa, another favourite, roared to victory in a tightly contested three-way battle. Hall Road finished second, and Daku came in a close third, validating pre-race expectations with a competitive showing.

The 6th race was declared void, adding a rare twist to the day’s proceedings and leaving punters and participants alike with unanswered questions. The final race of the day—the 7th race—was won by Specialist, a fluke entry who defied predictions to claim a definitive victory. Shareeka and Imperius, both surprise finishers, completed the podium in a race that closed the day with unexpected flair.
