Militants set free cop in Bajaur

KHAR: A police constable, who had been abducted earlier in the day by the Taliban from the Tang Khata area of Bajaur district, was released on Wednesday night following successful negotiations.
Local sources said the Bajaur Peace Jirga, headed by Sahibzada Haroon Rashid along with other members, held talks with the militants to secure the safe recovery of the abducted policeman. After the negotiations, the militants agreed to set free the cop unharmed.Upon his release, Constable Khurshid told reporters that the Taliban treated him well during his captivity.
