TEHRAN: Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani has warned that Tehran will not allow certain countries to support and supply terrorists with arms to foment insecurity at borders and inside Iran, reports Fars News Agency (FNA).

Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with National Security Adviser of Pakistan Nasser Khan Janjua in Tehran on Monday, alluding to a Muslim state which Iran believes has supported terrorist activities against Iran and other regional countries.

“We will not allow certain countries to send weapons and hire terrorists to stir insecurity at borders and affect relations between the two countries (Iran and Pakistan),” he stressed. “It is regretting that a Muslim state spends its money and revenues to spread war and terrorism in the region based on the demands of the enemies of Islam and establishes secret ties with the Zionist regime by showing indifference to the besieged people in Gaza and the Palestinian issue,” Shamkhani said.

He underscored that fighting the thoughts which spread and nurture the ISIL is the most important priority and the basis of fighting against terrorism without which no country either in the region or in Europe will remain stable and secure.

In relevant remarks last week, Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council (EC) Mohsen Rezayee blasted the Muslim country for its destructive measures in the region, and said it is supporting and sending terrorists to Iran. “Its consulate in northern Iraq helps the Komala Party (a terrorist group active in Kurdistan region) to interfere in Iran and Iraq’s affairs and sends terrorists to Iran but its plots have failed due to the vigilance of the revolutionary forces,” Rezayee said, addressing a forum in the Alborz province near Tehran on Saturday.
