Search and strike operation conducted in Swat

MINGORA: The police conducted a search and strike operation in the remote mountainous region of Mandur and surrounding areas Matta tehsil in Swat district, officials said on Thursday.

They said the operation was aimed at reinforcing law and order and take action against criminal and anti-social elements.Personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Elite Force, and local Operation Police actively participated in the joint operation led by DPO Muhammad Umar Khan.

During the operation, the law-enforcement teams conducted comprehensive searches of suspicious locations, possible hideouts, and shelters used by miscreants.Speaking to the media, the DPO stated that the primary objective of the operation was to ensure peace and security in the area.

“Maintaining a vigilant watch over criminal and anti-social elements remains our top priority,” he said, adding, “Such operations will continue throughout the district to ensure long-term stability and public safety.”He said the police were committed to maintaining peace and security across Swat by continuing such proactive measures in the future.
