Shangla: 2 killed as soil caves in during well digging

ALPURI: Two workers were killed and two others sustained injuries when soil caved in during the digging of a well in Kandai area of Chakisar tehsil of Shangla district on Thursday.The locals said that the incident occurred when four men were working at a depth of around 160 feet when a sudden landslide trapped them under the debris.
The residents immediately launched a rescue effort and informed Rescue 1122 teams.The Rescue 1122 officials said the deceased were identified as Johar Ali, son of Tajbar, and Baz Muhammad, son of Sharif Khan, both residents of Kandai Chakisar. The injured were identified as Sham, son of Jaleel of Kotkay Puran, and Akhtar Hussain, son of Miraj of Dandai Chakisar.
