Pact above politics
In politics, patience, criticism and differences of opinion are natural. However, there are certain moments that rise above party lines and demand national appreciation. The Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defence agreement is one of them, strengthening bilateral relations and opening new avenues for regional peace, security and cooperation. This is undoubtedly a landmark step in Pakistan’s diplomatic and defence history. As a nation, whether we are political workers, party leaders or ordinary citizens, we carry a collective responsibility to acknowledge such positive developments. Criticism where due is fair, but it should not overshadow national progress. If development or a historic agreement serves Pakistan’s interests, it must be appreciated regardless of which political party happens to be in power.
