Addressing the rally, the jirga members, including Haji Zahid Khan, Saleem Khan, Ayub Asharay, Izharullah, Abdul Jabbar Khan, Mukhtiar Lala and others said that the people of Swat would never accept a return of terrorism. They demanded that “those brought back into the mountains” be immediately sent away, warning that the people of Swat would not tolerate any new dramas in the name of terrorism.
