SHOs directed to tighten noose around outlaws
JAMRUD: The district police officer on Monday directed station house officers (SHOs) to tighten the noose around anti-social elements and improve law and order.
Chairing a meeting at the Police Lines here, District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal reviewed the law and order situation in the district. Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Roohul Amin, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Investigation), SHOs, and investigation officers attended the meeting.
The DPO instructed the officers to treat citizens visiting police stations with respect and to register first information reports (FIRs) without unnecessary delay. He ordered the SHOs to take action against armed groups, land grabbers, drug dealers, and smugglers. He further directed them to proceed strictly against those involved in aerial firing.Mazhar Iqbal stressed that investigations must be carried out in a transparent manner and that the noose should be tightened around hardened criminals and wanted suspects.
