Two terrorists killed in Bajaur operation
KHAR: Two most-wanted terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur tribal district, officials said on Tuesday.The officials said the security personnel cordoned off the area after receiving information about the presence of militants, leading to an armed clash in which the two terrorists were killed.
The slain militants were identified as Zaheerullah alias Ghaznavi, a resident of Charmang, and Abdul Rehman alias Zaheerullah, a resident of Babara.Officials said the two were affiliated with a proscribed militant organization and were actively involved in sabotage activities and attacks on security forces. Officials further stated that the killed militants were key members of a Khawarij network and believed to be masterminds behind recent terrorist activities in Bajaur. Weapons and explosives were also recovered from their possession.
Following the incident, security forces launched a comprehensive search operation in the surrounding areas to track down the facilitators of the militants.Local elders praised the successful operation, terming it a vital step towards restoring peace and stability in the region.
