NAB arrests travel agency owners in fraud case
PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chapter, on Thursday arrested the owners of a travel agency for allegedly defrauding intending pilgrims of huge money. A press release issued here said that the owners of Afridi Haj & Umrah Services Private Ltd, Peshawar, had collected Rs340,000/-Rs380,000 each from several intending pilgrims.
It said the travel agency had given them different dates for flights. They said when the intending pilgrims reached the airport, they found out that they had been deceived.The release said that the NAB took notice of the incident and started an investigation into the matter. It said that the bureau had arrested Nazar Muhammad, Waqas and Abdullah Jan, owners of the travel agency. It stated the arrested accused would be produced in an accountability court to obtain their physical remand.
The release requested the victims to approach the office of the Director General NAB, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in PDA Complex, Block -III, Phase V, Hayatabad, Peshawar, to register their complaints against the accused.
