Unscheduled power loadshedding has been adversely affecting the supply of water in various areas of Satellite Town in the face of increasing humidity and heat during the ongoing summer season.

"We are not fully receiving water from tubewells during the designated hours because the tubewells cannot operate for full hours due to unscheduled power loadshedding," said Farhan Ahmad, a resident of F-Block area.  He said unscheduled power loadshedding has now become a common practice in this area due to which they sometimes face awkward situation especially during the morning time when they get ready to go to office.  Awais Hameed, a resident of B-Block, said the tubewells usually provide enough water to meet the requirements but power outages without any schedule are disturbing the supply system thus creating problems for the residents.

"Fortunately, we don't often face water shortage in the summer season due to presence of tubewells in the area. But if the tubewells would not work properly due to the power outages then the residents have to face this problem," he said.   Saadia Abbasi, a resident of New Katarian, said the prime minister has ordered the relevant authorities to resolve the issue of unscheduled power loadshedding but it seems that his directives have fallen on the deaf ears.
