Nawaz always worked for national development: Shahid Khaqan
FAISALABAD: Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has regards Nawaz Sharif his political leader, adding he is a capable and dignified leader who has always worked for national development.
Abbasi reiterated he could not be part of a “selected” government.
He made these remarks during a wedding reception of Ali Ahmed Munay Khan, son of late PML-N leader Israr Ahmad Munay Khan.
The event was attended by State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry, former senator Farooq Ahmed Khan, ex-speaker of Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Afzal Sahi, former lawmakers, ticket holders, and Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Chairman Muhammad Umar Farooq Khan.
“Nawaz Sharif is a capable and dignified leader who has always worked for national development,” Abbasi said, emphasising that he was against political victimisation and supports judicial accountability in case of proven corruption or illegality.
