Recruits pass out at Swat Police Training School

MINGORA: A passing-out parade ceremony for the 17th batch of recruits was held on Thursday at the Police Training School Swat.Additional Inspector General of Police Training Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Abbas, was the chief guest.

The ceremony was attended by several officials and guests, including Regional Police Officer Malakand Sher Akbar Khan, Brigadier Amir Jameel of the 6 Brigade, District Police Officer Swat Muhammad Umar Khan, SPs from Swat, the Elite Force, Special Branch, Frontier Reserve Police Malakand, and Traffic Police, as well as Circle Sub-divisional Police Officers and members of the Dispute Resolution Council.

The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the oath of allegiance administered to the recruits by Police Training School Swat Director Ayaz Mahmood.A smartly turned-out contingent of recruits presented a salute to the chief guest, who then inspected the parade alongside the director.

A total of 360 recruits, including 17 female cadets from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, completed their training and participated in the ceremony.Akhtar Abbas praised the high standard of training and professional discipline demonstrated by the recruits.

He distributed commendation certificates and cash awards to the top-performing recruits in various categories, including overall best, runner-up, best in physical training, parade, law, marksmanship, and sports.

The chief guest, along with Brigadier Amir Jameel, also appreciated the exceptional performances in martial arts demonstrations, parade drills, and the ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) display. Both commended the efforts of the young officers and encouraged them to maintain their dedication and serve the nation with pride. In his closing remarks, Akhtar Abbas congratulated the recruits on successfully completing their training and lauded the efforts of the training staff. He expressed confidence that the newly trained officers would become a valuable asset to the police force and serve the public with integrity and commitment.
