Governor appreciates international community for anti-polio efforts
PESHAWAR: Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has appreciated the role of international community, especially the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, for their effective endeavours to eradicate polio from the country.
He said this at a meeting with Dr. Waqar Ajmal, Sr. Programme Officer Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) here at the Governor’s House on Tuesday.The governor said Fata had shown tremendous improvement in anti-polio efforts and appreciated the role of EOC Fata for achieving remarkable success which has not been possible without the diligent efforts put into by agency level staff and front line workers.
Besides, Additional Chief Secretary Fata Muhammad Aslam Kamboh, Focal Person Emergency Operation Centre Fata (EOC) Dr. Nadeem Jan, Additional Secretary to Governor Attaullah Shah and others were also present on the occasion.
