CM orders forming Assets Management Committees in KP depts
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed for the formulation of Assets Management Committees within the departments and called upon the administrative secretaries to put on fast track the resource generation of the province.
Presiding over a meeting on broadening the resource generation base of the province at Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar on Monday, he underlined the need for efficient use of the commercial assets to make them multiplied through a transparent mechanism.
He directed the authorities concerned to make no delay in putting on ground the process through futuristic approach.Among others Senior Minister for Irrigation Sikandar Sherpao, Minister for Revenue Ali Amin Gandapur, Dr Haider Ali, Secretaries Planning and Development, Finance, Law and Relief attended the meeting.
The chief minister said the government had already spelt the guiding principles of its policy for all public sectors entities and resource generation. He added there would be strict check and balance in the whole process.
He said the buildings on the state land should be designed on modern lines which could be used for official, commercial and residential purposes.Pervez Khattak directed the structure and process should be so compact that there were no legal weaknesses and the resource generation process become of perennial nature.
He directed to auction the plots in different housing schemes. The chief minister also directed to move a summary for different projects for approval. Such properties which have been planned by different departments for sell out or lease should be undertaken through proper mechanism and the process should be completed within 10 days, he said. He said that the province had already allocated Rs33 billion for new district council system.
