Meeting with PTI founder: IHC reserves verdict on contempt plea filed by PTI’s Niazi
Court remarkes that "a single bench can hear case or not, they will decide first"
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court IHC) Monday reserved its decision on whether a single bench can hear the contempt of court petition filed by Patron-in-Chief PTI Focal Person Niazullah Niazi regarding his meeting with the founder PTI.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir remarked that “the larger bench heard the case first, so let’s decide this first, the court will pass an appropriate order in this regard.” Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the contempt of court petition.
Advocate Niazullah Niazi appeared before the court. The court remarked that “a single bench can hear the case or not, they will decide first.”
Advocate Niazullah Niazi said that “you can hear this contempt of court petition.” The court said that “the larger bench heard the case first, so let’s decide this first, the court will pass an appropriate order in this regard.” A contempt of court petition has been filed for non-compliance with the larger bench’s decision of March 24. The court reserved its decision on matter and adjourned hearing.
