Big cats’ death record sought from zoo

LAHORE:Sarmad Ali, Advocate High Court, has submitted a formal request to Hassan Ali, Director Lahore Zoo, under Article 19-A of the Constitution and Section 10 of the Punjab Transparency and RTI Act 2013.
In his application, the lawyer has sought complete details regarding the number of big cats purchased and kept at Lahore Zoo over the past 10 years. He inquired about number of animals died up to the date of the application, the causes of deaths. If autopsy was not carried out, the reasons for the omission have also been requested.
