TDAP pushes business formalisation for women entrepreneurs in Balochistan
KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) held a business startup seminar in Quetta and Zhob aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to formally register and grow their businesses.
The events focused on demystifying business documentation, tax registration, intellectual property protection and export readiness -- key elements TDAP says are essential for accessing financial support and scaling up operations.
Zainul Abideen, TDAP’s focal person for the Women Division, led the session, providing a step-by-step guide on company registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), tax filing with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), trademark registration, and engaging with local chambers. He noted that none of the 52 women applicants from Zhob secured grant funding this year due to lack of formal registration -- a gap the seminar aimed to close. This marks TDAP’s seventh women-focused seminar in Balochistan.
