No economic hope

People have plunged into crisis because the economy has failed to deliver the goods to the majority of the population. The social panorama is bleak because the country faces stagnation, high cost-of-living, a weak currency and debt crises. The economic policies prescribed by the government and endorsed by the IMF are having disastrous consequences. Governments, past and present, have been unable to offer social assistance, quality healthcare, education, employment and income support to vulnerable families. The majority of the Pakistani people neither trust the government’s economic management nor are they optimistic about the future.
