PM offers Eid prayers at Model Town Mosque

LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif remained very active on diplomatic front during the Eidul Azha holidays, telephoned rulers and heads of states of various countries, felicitated them on auspicious occasion of Eid and discussed bilateral and regional issues.

He offered Eidul Azha prayers at the Model Town mosque on Saturday, marking the religious occasion with solemnity and tradition. Accompanying the PM were his sons, Hamza Shehbaz and Suleman Shehbaz,along with a large number of local residents, who also attended the congregational prayers.

Following the Eid prayers, the PM warmly exchanged Eid greetings with his sons and fellow worshippers. PM Shehbaz Saturday held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and conveyed heartfelt Eidul Azha greetings to the Emir and the brotherly people of Qatar.

Separately, on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, PM Shehbaz on Saturday held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to convey warm greetings and best wishes.

Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the two leaders exchanged greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

Separately, on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, PM Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, to convey his warm Eid greetings to the Sultan and the brotherly people of Oman.

Also, PM Shehbaz Sharif Sunday held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to convey warm greetings and the best wishes to him as well as to the brotherly people of Turkiye on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also held a telephone conversation with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt on Saturday to exchange warm Eidul Azha greetings and discuss matters of mutual interest.

Also, PM Shehbaz held a warm and friendly telephonic conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and conveyed Eidul Azha greetings to him as well as the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also exchanged Eidul Azha greetings with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the crown prince of the state of Kuwait, on Saturday. Also, PM Shehbaz Sharif and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan held a telephone conversation on Saturday to exchange greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also held a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Saturday to exchange greetings on the occasion of Eidul Azha. Also, on the occasion of Eidul Azha, PM Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and extended his most warm Eid greetings and best wishes to the leadership as well as the people of Bahrain. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Eidul Azha, PM Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Saturday. PM Shehbaz Sharif also extended Eidul Azha greetings to the chief ministers of all four provinces during telephonic conversations.

PM Shehbaz Sharif also held telephonic conversations with National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for National Education Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on the occasion of Eidul Azha. PM Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday to extend warm greetings on the occasion of Eidul Azha.
