12 die in road accidents in 24 hours
LAHORE:The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,270 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
In these accidents, 12 people died, whereas 1,460 were injured. Out of these, 618 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 842 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Body recovered from canal
Body of a man was recovered from the Bambawali-Ravi-Bedian (BRB) Canal near the Bhasin village, on Sunday. According to Rescue 1122 officials, emergency rescue vehicles arrived at the scene following the report and fished out the body from the canal. Authorities have confirmed that the deceased was not identified so far. Body was handed over to police.
