In times when there are severe challenges faced by agriculture, particularly when it comes to water and rural labour shortages, it becomes all the more expedient to make a mention of interventions offering practical solutions. New actionable strategies relating to remote water monitoring systems can enhance livestock productivity and sustainability. Satellite and GPS technology can deliver real-time updates to farmers.
This system performs reliably under harsh conditions and can tackle environmental stress effectively. Thoughtful innovation can sustainably transform rural livelihoods all over the globe. It is proof that if we adopt new technology and go for innovative, out-of-the-box solutions, the most stringent challenges and harshest conditions can be overcome.

Agriculture is the mainstay of the country’s economy, accounting for around a quarter of our GDP and over a third of all employment. The vast majority of our exports are also directly or indirectly linked to agriculture. Sadly, Pakistan’s agricultural productivity is quite low, even when compared to other developing countries.
In this context, agricultural experts should devise a roadmap of technologies and strategies that will help us double our per-acre agricultural productivity. Pakistan is blessed with fertile lands and resource-rich mines, but we need to utilise our resources more effectively.
