No peace, no growth
After India’s recent misadventure, which was completely miscalculated, it has refused to engage Pakistan and seems to be going to the international arena to argue its case. This is a contradiction because the Indian state has maintained for a very long time that any issues with Pakistan are bilateral and can be discussed and sorted out mutually. For this reason, one does not understand what India is looking for by reaching out to the international community as it has never agreed to third-party mediation before. It is very clear that no country will give them a blank cheque to wage war against Pakistan. So what is the point?
India needs to learn that a country cannot achieve sustainable progress if it builds its foundation on hostility. For true development and prosperity, a nation must seek peaceful resolutions rather than perpetuating conflict. Economic stability thrives in an environment free from war and turmoil. Expecting growth while engaging in warfare is a flawed strategy that inevitably leads to regression. Any advancements made and goodwill earned can be swiftly lost if a country prioritises aggression over diplomatic solutions.
