Police ink MoUs to aid families of martyred, serving cops
MANSEHRA: The Police Department on Monday signed agreements with three more healthcare service providers to extend psychotherapy, medicines and physical therapy services to the families of martyred, retired and in-service police personnel at free or subsidised rates.
“We have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with nearly 100 educational institutions, healthcare providers, and charitable organisations to support the welfare of families of police martyred, retired and serving personnel,” District Police Officer Shafiullah Khan Gandapur said at a press conference here.
He said three new MoUs were signed earlier in the day, further expanding the network of welfare services available to police and martyred personnel’s families.The official said that the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed and DIG Hazara Range Nasir Mehmood Satti were actively pursuing additional partnerships to benefit police families.
Among the latest agreements, Irfan Neuro-Psychiatric and General Hospital will provide free neuropsychiatric and general healthcare services to the families of martyred, retired and serving police personnel.
Autism Blue Therapeutic Hub will offer various therapy services at a 50 per cent discount for families of martyred personnel and 25 per cent for those of in-service and retired personnel and their kin.He said that D-Watson would provide a 10 per cent discount on medicines and grocery items to families of martyred, retired and serving policemen.
