15 die on road in 24 hours
LAHORE:The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,334 road accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 15 people died, whereas 1,591 were injured. Out of these, 683 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 908 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Stolen vehicle recovered; thief held
Police on Monday with the assistance of Safe City cameras, swiftly traced a stolen vehicle and apprehended the thief. A citizen had parked his vehicle on The Mall before going shopping. Upon returning, he discovered the vehicle was missing and immediately reported the theft to the Emergency Helpline 15. The Virtual Patrolling Officer of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority successfully located the vehicle and arrested the suspect.
