CBC completes preparations for monsoon rains
Karachi: The Clifton Cantonment Board (CBC) has finalized all arrangements to tackle potential emergencies during the upcoming monsoon season. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CBC, Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik, shared details regarding the measures taken to ensure public safety and swift response.
To ensure an effective emergency response, the area has been divided into seven different sectors, with over 1,200 staff members deployed across these zones.This team will remain on high alert 24/7 to carry out immediate relief operations during heavy rainfall.
Mohammad Omar Farooq Ali Malik further stated that 200 de-watering pumps will be stationed throughout the area to ensure prompt drainage of rainwater, preventing any waterlogging or related disruptions.
Additionally, fire brigade and ambulance services will remain fully operational round-the-clock to respond swiftly to any emergencies.
“Our top priority is the safety and convenience of citizens,”emphasized the CEO. “We are committed to ensuring that residents do not face any hardships or dangers during the monsoon season.” CBC has urged citizens to immediately report any emergencies through the relevant helplines and cooperate with rescue teams for a coordinated response.
