Rawalpindi:As part of its ongoing efforts to build a strong narrative against human smuggling and trafficking, the Media Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) successfully conducted an awareness-raising session at the NICON Group of Colleges, Rawalpindi campus, says a press release.
The session aimed to educate students and faculty about the dangers of irregular migration, the deceptive tactics used by traffickers, and the legal consequences of human smuggling. Emphasis was placed on the importance of safe, legal, and informed migration choices. FIA officials highlighted real-life cases and trends in cyber-enabled trafficking and fraudulent overseas job offers. Students were urged to verify job advertisements and consult official channels before making any decisions related to foreign employment.
This initiative is part of FIA’s broader strategy to foster public awareness, especially among the youth, and build societal resilience against human trafficking networks. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students actively participated, asked questions, and pledged to spread awareness in their communities.
