Farmers suffer a lot on account of low wheat prices. The expenses involved in wheat production are only getting higher. The price of fuel, fertilisers, pesticides is rapidly increasing. But wheat rates have been going down since last year. Some farmers stored wheat in the hopes that prices would eventually rise, but this has yet to materialise.
The government should take immediate measures to address their concerns and restore fixed government prices for wheat and other agricultural commodities as soon as possible.
