The recent skirmishes between Pakistan and India saw no direct engagements between the infantries of the respective countries. This is a significant development. In my opinion, the combat template has been re-drawn. In emerging conflicts, the following resources will be of immense importance: drones, the air force, precision missiles, espionage, electronic and social media narratives, international diplomacy and, of course, public morale. I am hopeful Pakistan and its proud security forces will keep themselves adequately prepared in all these areas in the coming times.
