One robber killed, another injured in police encounter
A suspected robber, allegedly involved in the killing of a man during a mugging attempt, was killed in a police encounter in District Central on Thursday.
According to police, the encounter took place within the jurisdiction of the Sharae Noor Jahan, where law enforcement officers confronted armed robbers. The shootout occurred near the rear side of Zainul Abideen Imambargah in Sector 14-B, Shadman Town.
During the intense exchange of fire, one of the robbers was killed, while his accomplice was arrested with gunshot wounds. The oolice recovered two 30-bore pistols, mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the suspects.
The deceased robber was identified as Muzaffar Ali Magsi, son of Ali Hassan Magsi, while the injured suspect was identified as Ejaz, son of Sultan. Both suspects were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. Further investigations are underway as authorities continue to probe the criminal activities linked to the suspects.
