Housing scam affectees get cheques

LAHORE:National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, continued distributing compensation cheques worth hundreds of millions among hundreds of affectees of the Formanities Housing Scam in a day.

The cheque distribution process was personally overseen by the NAB Director General (DG) Lahore, M Ahtram Dar. The DG congratulated the affectees on the recovery of their long-lost investments along with additional profits.

According to the details, NAB Lahore initiated the distribution of cheques amounting to Rs1.34 billion among 1,446 victims of the Formanities Housing scandal, under the direct supervision of the DG NAB Lahore. Despite the challenging task, NAB officials efficiently handed over cheques to hundreds of affectees in record time. On this occasion, DG NAB Lahore made a significant announcement that the NAB Lahore office would remain open over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) to continue non-stop services to the victims for extending maximum convenience. He added that the affectees can also collect their cheques even without receiving a formal NAB notice. Affectees present at the event expressed their gratitude to the chairman.
