An event titled "Yaum-e-Tashakkur" was observed at the Sindh Governor House on Tuesday evening to celebrate the exceptional performance by Pakistan’s armed forces in the recent military clashes with India.

Musical bands from the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a guard of honour on the occasion. Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, along with the members of the National and Sindh assemblies, cut a cake to celebrate Pakistan's military victory against India. Fireworks displays and presentations of national songs were also part of the celebrations. Founder Saylani Welfare International Trust Maulana Bashir Farooqi prayed for the integrity and solidarity of Pakistan and the success of its valiant armed forces. Representatives of Christian, Hindu, and Sikh communities also took part in the celebrations and formed a virtual chain by joining their hands as a show of solidarity.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor said Pakistan's defence had become impregnable for the enemy owing to the outstanding performance of the Pakistani armed forces. He said Pakistan was a secure state because of its armed forces.

He said the community of expatriate Pakistanis had also been celebrating the bravery and courage shown by the Pakistani armed forces in their fight against India. Tessori said the Indian hegemony in the region had come to an end due to the daring forces of Pakistan. He told the audience at the event that Pakistan had clearly achieved military superiority in the region.

He said Pakistan would hold talks with India on the Indus Basin Treaty and the Kashmir problem on an equal footing. He also praised the exceptional military leadership qualities of the chief of army staff. He said the frontiers of Pakistan were fully secured due to the armed forces led by the army chief.

The governor said Pakistan had secured a brilliant military victory after the 1965 war against India. He predicted that the economic woes of Pakistan would soon come to an end.
