Woman shot dead over plot dispute in Manghopir
A woman was shot dead by four suspects over a property dispute in the Manghopir area. Police have arrested one of the suspects, while the other three managed to escape. The woman suffered three bullet wounds, which proved fatal.
Police seized seven empty shells of a 30-bore pistol and a coin from the crime scene. Police said the incident took place near the Saima City in Jam Goth within the limits of the Manghopir police station.
On receiving the report, SHO Imran Khan reached the scene with his team. The Crime Scene Unit was also called in. After inspecting the location and collecting initial statements, the body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem, after which it was handed over to the family.
Police collected seven bullet casings of a 30-bore pistol and a coin from the scene. According to the SHO, the deceased woman had been identified as 40-year-old Nasreen, wife of Naseer Zada, resident of Jam Goth.
He added that one of the suspects had been arrested whose identity was being withheld, whereas, three suspects, Hidayatullah, Habibullah and Ahsan, fled the scene and police were actively searching for them.
All the suspects are residents of the same neighbourhood. According to the SHO, the victim and her family had been living in Jam Goth and they had a longstanding dispute over a plot with members of their community.
