Shazia Marri hails Pakistan-India ceasefire
Marri reiterates that Pakistan has always championed peace, dialogue, and stability in the region
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party-Parliamentarians (PPP-P) Spokesperson Shazia Marri has warmly welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Pakistan and India, expressing strong support for peace and regional stability.
In a statement on Saturday, Shazia Marri paid glowing tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, stating, “We salute our brave armed forces for their unwavering commitment, courage, and sacrifices in defending our motherland. Their professionalism, discipline, and resilience are a source of pride for every Pakistani.”
She reiterated that Pakistan has always championed peace, dialogue, and stability in the region. “Our diplomatic efforts and desire for peace are a core pillar of our policy, but our pursuit of peace must never be mistaken for weakness,” she added.
She emphasised that the nation stands fully alert and prepared to defend its sovereignty, dignity, and every inch of its soil. “We appreciate the maturity and unity demonstrated by all political parties during this time. On the matter of Pakistan’s integrity, the entire nation is united and will not hesitate to make any sacrifice.”
