LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department allocated Rs two billion on Saturday for emergency security measures.

The funds, approved during the 27th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order on Friday, aimed to bolster public welfare and ensure robust security arrangements. The Home Department has instructed district administrations to secure essential supplies, including food rations, medicines, and fuel. Department spokesperson confirmed that the internal security funds are dedicated to public safety and emergency preparedness, with all law enforcement agencies, civil defence, and rescue authorities on high alert.
