This letter refers to the news report ‘FBR mulls taxing pensions ahead of IMF mission visit’ (May 6, 2025). What a brilliant move. All those ‘affluent’ pensioners need to be taxed to the maximum while the ‘poor’ traders, industrialists, land owners, real-estate tycoons and business owners outside the documented economy deserve incentives and tax concessions.
