Son arrested in senior lawyer’s murder case
PESHAWAR: The police on Friday arrested the son of a senior lawyer Mian Jamal Shah who was killed in firing a couple of days back.Superintendent of Police, Saddar, Raza Muhammad told reporters that Mian Aqib Shah, the son of the senior lawyer, was arrested and the weapon used in the murder recovered.
Mian Jamal Shah was killed in firing on April 27. His son Aqib lodged the case in Inqilab Police Station and told the cops that unidentified armed men shot dead his father. Police officials said during investigation the son of the deceased was questioned who later confessed to killing his father over domestic issues.
Lawyer community had taken notice of the murder of a senior lawyer and boycotted courts across the KP, demanding arrest of the killers. The senior police officials had constituted a team headed by SP Raza Muhammad to work out the case.
