Rain spell to continue till tomorrow, says PDMA

LAHORE:Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has said that there are chances of thunderstorms with lightning in Punjab today (Saturday). This series of rains will continue till tomorrow (Sunday).
In the current weather conditions, there is a high possibility of lightning. PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia said that there are chances of lightning strikes in the next three days. The DG issued instructions to provide the best medical assistance to the injured. He said that financial assistance to the affected families would be ensured as per the policy of the Punjab government. The PDMA predicted rain in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, DG Khan, Multan, Sahiwal and Bahawalpur divisions.
